NOTD: Smitten Polish Adeste Fidelis

Smitten Polish - Adeste Fidelis. Two coats.

Adeste Fidelis is a creme coloured crelly packed with gold micro glitter and larger dusty pink and light green hexes. It is perfectly proportioned and applies well in two coats, with some dabbing just like any polish in this family. Here topped with Seche Vite.
Isn’t it beautiful and delicate?

Smitten Polish - Adeste Fidelis. Two coats.

This is poetry in a bottle. When I first got it on my nails I had to pull up Pavarotti singing Adeste Fideles, just because it felt so right. While listening, I browsed the Etsy page of Smitten Polish – and got intense goose bumps! Turns out Noelie’s inspiration for Adeste Fidelis is a recording of Pavarotti singing Adeste Fideles!

In Noelie’s own words – I was 12 years old the first time I saw Pavarotti on PBS singing Adeste Fidelis at Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal. That image has stuck with me my entire life, and the opulent interior of Notre Dame served as the inspiration for this combination of colors.

Did I mention the recording I happened to stumble upon on YouTube was a concert in Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal? What are the odds of me listening to the exact same recording Noelie watched as a 12-year old, that inspired her to creating this polish, before I even knew it was what inspired her? This is the beauty of indie brands.
